Merry Christmas!

Hey everyone! Sorry its been so long since we've had an update been busy getting ready for the holidays. You guys are awesome! The Glorious Appearing was an amazing service. Of course, you guys handled the music like a champ but more importantly, I believe we really got to encounter God in a way many had never before. The service has really inspired me to take a long hard look at my life and my heart. Am I really living a life worth dying for?

I hope you guys took that with you. Please take time to look at your life and your heart. One of the 10 steps to lose your faith was complacency and we can reach that from not reevaluating our hearts!

I hope you all have an amazing and safe holiday season this year! I am keeping you guys in my prayers. You guys are all amazing and God is going to do great things through you. We are really furthering the kingdom of God so lets keep up the good work!!!!

One night down...

Hey everyone! I thought last night (CTBN4_pt.1) was amazing! I felt like people were really engaging into a state of worship that they have never experienced before. I felt that even though Craig was gone, the service still went over really really well guys!!!

Remember to keep Craig and Laura in your prayers! This is not only an exciting time for them but an extremely busy time. Let's remember that and show our love for Craig and Laura when they return!

Wow is all I really have left to say about last night. Thank you guys so much for your hard work. There is no way I could've done (or handled) it all without your help!

Just a reminder that we have FUEL this sunday!! Please everyone be there and remind anyone that you can! This FUEL will be awesome I think and it will be great to have all of you there!

Songs for Cold Turkey Big Night 1

Hey guys hope all is going well! We are going to opening up service with Chainbreaker (A) by Charlie Hall. We've played this one before and the song is posted on an earlier post. After that we will have a 2 song set. We will open up with The Time Has Come (A) and then we will play Remain (D) by The Anthem.

Well will be also playing a small section of the Aqualung song "Pressure Suit" which is included on the blog. It's only a small section of the song but its the part we will be playing. We will slow it down a little bit to match the tempo of Remain. (in a nut shell, we will go into Aqualung after the "bridge" on remain [I shout is from my heart, part] and then go into the intro chords of Remain with the full band).

You guys are great. I know this seems like a lot but it will be awesome. I heard a quote from a friend of Bill Hybels the other day say something awesome about excellence. He said, "Excellence honors God and inspires people." I hope we remember that this is a service that we are privileged to be a part of, which I think is a great honor! I really really want to get more people there than last time, so start marking it now! Ask off of work and whatever else you need to, I would love to have everyone there. For those who aren't following the blog, I would ask that you remind them of Fuel this month and I will do the same. I've been getting some stuff together for it and I'm feeling pretty excited about it.

Keep up the hard work everyone! I know it seems like a lot sometimes, but it really is making a difference. Not only in everything sounding better but engaging people into worship. Thank you guys for so much for your times and pouring your hearts into worship. God's doing something big at Emerge.

Finishing up October

Hey everyone!

Everything has been going great this month! Tonight (Oct 22), we have The Anthem leading worship which will give a lot of you guys a much deserved break. I was looking back at some old sets we played awhile back and realized we have really come a long way! Of course, it's not about how many new songs we're playing, but whether we are truly engaging people into worship.

Wednesday night (Oct 8)

Wow you guys did a great job on wednesday! It's great seeing how our team is growing a lot stronger. We had a pretty big set tonight with very little practice and I think everything went really well. Hopefully those cards the guys passed out get more of the team on this blog so we can really make major steps forward.

Thanks again for all you guys do! All the time you spend in practice at Emerge and at home as well as Fuel every month and Sundays and Wednesdays! You work is making all the difference in the team!
